Wolves cruise past Pekin
PACKWOOD ? The Winfield-Mt. Union girls? basketball team started its second trip through the conference on Tuesday night at Pekin, where they came out on top of a 43-23 decision.
The Wolves led by a score of 18-11 at halftime and held the Panthers to only one point in the third quarter.
W-MU then put up an 18-point fourth quarter to seal the win.

Alicia Escher led all scorers in the game with 15 points. Anna Crawford scored eight for the Wolves and Shelby Therme had seven points.
The Wolves are now 8-3 overall and 8-2 in the Southeast Iowa Super Conference North Division.
They will play Friday, Dec. 21, at Columbus, in the first game of a varsity girls? and boys? doubleheader that starts at 6 p.m.
