Wolves downed by Lisbon
LISBON ? The Winfield-Mt. Union football team faltered against a tough opponent in Lisbon on Friday night, falling to the Lions by a score of 49-6.
The Wolves scored their only touchdown on a quarterback sneak by Kolt Rossiter, who picked up 21 rushing yards in five carries on the night.

LISBON ? The Winfield-Mt. Union football team faltered against a tough opponent in Lisbon on Friday night, falling to the Lions by a score of 49-6.
The Wolves scored their only touchdown on a quarterback sneak by Kolt Rossiter, who picked up 21 rushing yards in five carries on the night.
Thayne McElhinney led the team in rushing with 78 total yards, and Darren Hunter had a team-high average of 14.3 yards per carry, picking up 43 yards in three tries. Max Fricke gained 39 yards on the ground on the night, and Lake Carlson picked up two yards in his only rushing attempt.
The Wolves did not complete a pass in the game.
Defensively, Kyle Davis had a team-high seven tackles and Sam Jennings added six. Taime Fenton and Hunter each had a tackle for loss.
The Wolves are now 2-3 overall and 1-2 in district play. The Lions improve to 3-2 and are 3-0 in the district.
W-MU plays another team of Lions on Friday when they host Lone Tree in their homecoming game. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
