Wolves moving on up

Winfield Mt. Union has climbed three spots to No. 11 in the latest Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union rankings that were released Thursday.

Fellow Southeast Super Conference member Notre Dame rejoined the Class 1A rankings three spots behing the Wolves. The Super Conference also has a 3A entry in West Burlington.

Southeast Conference member Keokuk fell out of the Class 4A rabkings and River Valley Conference member West Branch lost its spot atop 2A. The RVC's Bellevue joined the 2A Top 15 and West Kiberty is in 3A.

South Iowa Cedar League member Montezuma maintained its position and saw league member North Mahaska enter the 1A listing, but Lynnville-Sully dropped out.
