Wrestlers take second at Solon

The Demon wrestlers continued their strong season this past weekend with a tournament in Solon on Saturday, and came away finishing second as a team.

The Washington wrestling team posted 210.5 points at the tournament, finishing behind only tournament champion Lisbon, who scored 256.5 team points.

Individually, the Demons saw four wrestlers advance to the championship match, with Trey Van Weelden (152 pounds) and Karlton Skubal (182 pounds) each picking up tournament championships.

Mitchell Huisenga (285 pounds) and Kyle Anderson (132 pounds) also advanced to the championship round and picked up second place.
