Wrestling Wesleyan wins at Westminster

FULTON, Mo. - Iowa Wesleyan wrestling made it two up and two down in its second-straight St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference dual when the Tigers toppled Westminster College on Friday night. Iowa Wesleyan went into Fulton and grounded the Blue Jays 33-24.
After dropping the first match, Iowa Wesleyan took a 12-6 lead on back-to-back forfeits at 113 pounds and 141 pounds. The Tigers and Blue Jays split the first six matches, with all three Iowa Wesleyan wins coming via the forfeit.
The Tigers won three of the final four weights of the day. Dominique Morris took the 174-pound match by forfeit. Zach Thomas pinned Westminster's Will Harper at 184 pounds, and Brendan Lunsford won 6-4 in the first sudden victory period to skate past Westminster's Kobe Kaminski at 285 pounds.
The Tigers are now 2-0 overall and 2-0 in the SLIAC. They will host Cornell College in a nonconference meet this Friday.
