MT. PLEASANT - Iowa Wesleyan will have a new coach in the sport of women's basketball after its head coach resigned.
Temaine Wright, starting his second year at the helm, resigned his post Monday.
Wright joined the program before the 2019-20 season, when he led the Tigers to a 5-20 overall record and 5-13 in the conference. He was the coach Sundday for Iowa Wesleyan's opener, a 78-57 loss to Coe College.
First-year assistant coach Jazmyne Laskey will move into the head position as a search begins for the next coach.
Iowa Wesleyan played its second game of the season Wednesday, falling 104-46.
