Youth wrestlers compete in Twin Rivers Girls Classic

DES MOINES — A team of Mt. Pleasant youth wrestlers competed in a national tournament earlier this month in Des Moines. The tournament was called the Twin Rivers Girls Classic National Duals, which featured 1100 female wrestlers from kindergarten all the way up to high school senior.

Represented were 84 different teams and 14 different states. The Mt. Pleasant wrestlers participated in the event with a team based out of Muscatine Iowa called ‘Empire Wrestling’. The team got eighth Place in the Bronze Bracket.
