Zieglowsky has high game

KEOKUK - Ethan Zieglowsky led Washington's bowling team in a triangular with Burlington and Keokuk Tuesday at the Chiefs home lanes, Arrowhead Bowl.

Zieglowsky not only had Washington's high game, he had the high game of the meet, rolling a 238, but Keokuk won the team score with a 2,745 score. Burlington was second at 2,623 and Washington had 1,859.

Zieglowsky had an outstanding game Thursday at Mt. Pleasantwhen he knocked down 10 consecutive strikes and finished with a 289 score. That total is the second highest achieved in Class 1A this season, behind Kyle Beidler of Maquoketa, who rolled a 296. Zieglowsky has the fifth highest score in the state for a game. Muscatine's Noah Miller achieved perfection with a 300 to lead Class 3A as well. Kyle Davis of Fort Dodge has a 298 and Council Bluffs Jefferson's Josh Chavarria has a 297. Both are Class 2A schools. He bowled a 192 last Thursday to go with 289, so his series score was a 481. That total is 13th in Class 1A, 34th overall.

Although Zieglowsky had the high game against Keokuk Tuesday, he did not have the high series. His other game was a 161 total giving him a 399 series score, which was the third highest. Keokuk's Patrick Goetz had a 418 as did Chiefs teammate Cole Gillenwater.

Caleb Zieglowsky rolled a 314 series for Washington. His two games were 148 and 166. Aidan Miller had a 87-94-181. Jarred Hoyle 78-90-168 and Erika Williams 72-66-138.
