Governor Reynolds of Iowa is continuing to lift restrictions on mass gatherings due to the coronavirus. The full declaration is scheduled to be entirely lifted on Thursday May 28th. Many thanks to our CR Leaders who have continued lead our weekly meetings within State guidelines throughout this pandemic! CR is alive and well in Brighton!
For now, we are continuing to meet at The Brighton Community Church 101 S Mechanic Street (two blocks up the street from our previous location at the Church of God) while we assess and develop our reorganizational plan together.
But that plan, of course, must include a welcome-back party, right?!
So, announcing our “Welcome-Back-to-CR-In-Brighton-Praise-and-Pizza-Party” on Thursday, June 4th at Brighton Community Church at 6pm! (please note: this date is adjusted from our original announcement of May 28th) We will celebrate with games and a reunion of extended worship and good food - in memorial of David Tweeton’s brother John; Dave is in training to lead our CR Inside ministry. John went home to be with His Savior on April 25th. Thanks to John’s family for letting us celebrate John’s life with them in this meaningful way!
Children are welcome, but there will be no Celebration Place or childcare provided. We will still distance ourselves wisely. You are welcome to wear gloves and masks. Contact me if you are celebrating any anniversary milestones and we will do our best to have chips or coins ready to award. If anyone has relapsed through this time, be assured that we are ready to get right back behind you as you make a renewed start on your recovery journey!
Please continue to stay posted on developments on our CR Facebook page as together we continue to Celebrate Recovery at Brighton!
We can’t wait to see each one of you again!
