Aaron Kness, President and CEO of Iowa State Bank, announced that Alissa Ward has joined the Iowa State Bank team as the new Vice President, Human Resources and Marketing.
Kness commented, “This is a new and particularly challenging position. Alissa is fulfilling two critical roles for us, and I have no doubt she’ll excel at both. It is rare to find a professional who is as multi-talented as Alissa, and also as well known in the community. We are thrilled to add her to our management team.”
Alissa comes to the bank with nearly seven years of experience in human resource management prior to her most recent position as an insurance agent in her family’s independent insurance agency. She holds a B.A. in Business Administration-Marketing from the University of Iowa.
Alissa was born and raised in Fairfield and moved back to town from Chicago nine years ago with her husband, Tai, and their two daughters, Elliott and Delaney. Alissa is passionate about maintaining the city of Fairfield’s status as a great place to live and raise a family. She currently serves on the Fairfield Economic Development Association board of directors, the Fairfield Iowa Convention & Visitors Bureau board of directors, and the Fairfield Rotary Club board of directors.
When Alissa is not cheering on her girls on the softball field or basketball court, she can be found on the golf course, spending time with her family by the pool, or enjoying a good meal with friends on an outdoor patio.
Jared Lyle, Iowa State Bank’s Senior Vice President, added, “Iowa State Bank has grown significantly over the past seven years. As organizations increase in size, more professional opportunities are created. We are incredibly fortunate to welcome Alissa to our team at a time when we can most use her skills and expertise. I expect her to be a key part of our success moving forward.”
