Halcyon House

The last of the tomatoes from the garden have been picked before Jack Frost takes care of them. The garden produce has been a delicious part of the meals that everyone has enjoyed. At “Artist With Heart” we have been painting fall pictures using templates for the pattern. The pictures have been painted using many of the favorite fall colors. At the T.G.I.F. party, instead of hot chocolate on a rainy afternoon, the Wedgewood Household decided root beer floats taste good any time of the year. Along with brownie bites this was a great way to end the week.

Residents at Rosewood hope that you all had a wonderful week, as we rolled out of September and right into October. The weather was not that great for outdoor activities for a few days, as it was colder and windy. We had lots of indoor activities, such as trivia, music, coffee time and more. Many are still working on their abstract art, painting projects! With more and more leaves on the ground, fall is definitely on our minds! Rosewood has been decorated with all of the colors of fall. Happy first of October to you all!

On Thursday, Rosamond received a surprise porch visit from her daughter who lives in Virginia. It had been almost a full year since they had seen each other. It was a wonderful surprise!

Also on Thursday, Margrette celebrated her 100th birthday! Her granddaughter-in-law held a card shower for her, and she received countless cards from friends and family.
