Area school boards making final decisions on plans

Schools throughout the area are working to finalize their return-to-learn plans and get approval by the school boards. Multiple work sessions and meetings are set throughout the upcoming weeks to make a decision.

On Monday, Mid-Prairie held a board meeting to discuss the start of school.

At 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Highland will have a special meeting to make a final decision on what plan will be used at the start of the year. Those interested can attend the meeting via Zoom. Information on how to connect can be found the Highland school district website in the agendas.

The WACO school board will meet at the high school gymnasium on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. in a special meeting to review the district’s return-to-learn plan.

At 7 p.m. on Thursday, Washington schools will make a final decision on the plan to return to school. A livestream of the meeting will be played on the Washington Community Schools YouTube page.

At 6 p.m. on Aug. 10, the Mt. Pleasant school board will meet at the Mt. Pleasant High School media center to vote on and approve the district’s return-to-learn plan.

At 6 p.m. on Aug. 13, the Keota school board will formally approve the return-to-learn plan. The meeting will take place in the Keota elementary media center.
