WASHINGTON COUNTY — A fifth and sixth case of novel COVID-19 has been confirmed in Washington County as of Wednesday morning.
The governor’s office sent out a news release and announced the cases were confirmed in two adult 18-40 years old. The total of confirmed cases in the state is now at 145.
Johnson County tops the state with 43 confirmed cases while 12 additional counties, including Henry, only have one so far according to the Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH). So far 81 of the confirmed cases in the state have been in women and 64 in men.
As of March 24, 2,315 people in state tested negative for the virus, according to the IDPH.
