WASHINGTON — The Washington Economic Development Group is moving to a new location.
When WEDG was created, the office was located at 205 W Main Street with the Chamber of Commerce and Main Street Washington.
Director Mary Audia said the new location was a necessity for growth. Former Director David Collins began the work of finding a new location more than a year ago.
The new office is located on the second floor of the old library, 120 W. Main St.
A reception area, office space and a conference room are currently under construction. Along with WEDG, the Washington County Riverboat Foundation will be located in the office.
Audia said future expansion may include a boardroom.
Currently, WEDG is working from space provided by Greiner Buildings on the first floor, but Audia said the plan is to be in the new office by Feb. 1.
