In response to Monday’s storm that produced citywide tree damage, the city of Fairfield will collect brush from residents beginning at 7 a.m. Monday, Aug. 17.
All brush (burnable/chippable) should be put in a neat pile curbside, adjacent to the street. Nothing bigger than 24 inches in diameter and 13 feet in length will be accepted.
This does not include leaves and yard waste, which will continue to be picked up in the city yard waste bags with regular recycling pickup.
Brush must be placed by the curb and away from poles, fences and water shutoffs before Aug. 17 to ensure pick up. City crews will not make a second trip. Brush piles must not interfere with traffic.
