MT. PLEASANT — An additional 19 Iowa Wesleyan University students have tested positive for the coronavirus.
According to the university’s COVID-19 dashboard, the university conducted a total of 64 tests the week of Sept. 21. As of Monday, 21 of the available 64 isolation spaces on campus are in use.
Since the university reopened its campus in August, Iowa Wesleyan has conducted 506 tests. To date, the university has had 90 positive tests — 83 students and seven faculty and staff.
The university reports a 17.8 percent positivity rate, an increase from the 16 percent rate following testing done the previous week.
