A caller Tuesday morning at East Madison Street in Washington reported that a vehicle drove into a garage. Injuries were unknown. Three officers, an ambulance, Washington Fire and a Washington County Rescue unit responded. The subject went to Washington County Hospital in Washington by private vehicle, and there was no ambulance transport. Moore’s towed the vehicle. Christopher Robert Lawrence Reed, 40, of Washington, was arrested on an Iowa City Police Department warrant for probation revocation in reference to fourth-degree theft. Bond was $1,000. A detainer was placed for Iowa City Police Department. Local charges were also filed for driving under suspension sixth offense, and failure to maintain control.
An officer reported being on a vehicle stop, Tuesday afternoon at East 15th Street in Washington. Tanja Joann Hughes, 24, of North Liberty, was arrested on charges of driving while barred and no proof of insurance.
A caller Tuesday afternoon at Melrose Avenue in Iowa City reported locating a subject on a Washington County warrant. Aaron Ezra Blodgett, 28, of Iowa City, was arrested on a Washington County warrant for violation of probation on an original charge of possession of marijuana second offense, and possession of methamphetamine second offense. Bond was $2,000 cash or surety. A Washington County officer transported the subject to the Washington County Jail and served the warrant.
A subject was reported in the lobby, turning himself in on his warrant, Tuesday night at Lexington Boulevard in Washington. Jason Michael Thompson, 38, of Wellman, was arrested on charges of possession of controlled substance – marijuana first offense, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond was $800 cash only. The warrant was cleared from the system.
A caller Tuesday morning at Highway 22 and Keokuk Washington road in Wellman reported going into the ditch after trying to avoid a head-on collision. There were no injuries. They had a tow truck on the way for the white 2012 Chevrolet Malibu. An officer responded. Damages amounted to less than $1,500. Documentation was made.
A caller Tuesday night at Coppock Road in Washington reported a car-vs.-deer accident. The vehicle was drivable but had damage to the right passenger bumper and right headlight. An officer was advised. Documentation was made for insurance purposes. The caller was advised that, if the damages were more than $1,500, she could fill out a state accident report.

An officer reported being out with a white Cavalier with no license plates, Tuesday night at South Fourth Avenue in Washington. A citation was issued to Sonya Nicole Adams, 39, of Washington, for no driver’s license, and a warning was issued for loud muffler. The vehicle was left in the location of the traffic stop.
An officer reported being out with a vehicle, early Wednesday morning at Highway 1 in Washington. A citation was issued to Sonya Nicole Adams for no valid driver’s license.
An officer reported being out with an occupied disabled vehicle, Tuesday night at Highway 218 in Ainsworth. The occupants had someone coming to help them.
An officer reported being out with a disabled vehicle, Tuesday night at Highway 1 in Kalona. The vehicle was added to the system.
A caller Tuesday morning at Highway 92 in Ainsworth reported a red-colored medium-size dog, with black collar and rabies tags, was running loose in the parking lot. An officer responded and transported the dog back to the owner’s residence.
A caller Tuesday morning at South Third Avenue in Washington reported that a small dog was at her residence and tried to bite her. An officer and the dog catcher responded and were not able to catch the dog.
A caller Tuesday night at West Madison Street in Washington reported that her daughter was assaulted by two other female juveniles at the pool. An officer responded. Pending charges will be filed. The officer advised that he would speak with witnesses about the incident on Wednesday.

A caller Tuesday night at West Washington Street in Washington requested to speak with an officer to find out what she could do about problems with her soon-to-be ex-husband. An officer met with the caller and referred her to the Clerk of Court.
A caller Tuesday evening at 170th Street in Wellman reported a scam for a sale of an item. The callers lost $800. An officer was advised for documentation. They were given the .gov website address and the advice to report it to eBay.

A caller Tuesday night at 116th Circle at Riverside reported a suspicious vehicle parked on his property. An officer responded. A subject had dropped off the vehicle for it to be worked on by a subject. Everything was fine.
A caller Tuesday morning at F Avenue in Kalona reported a juvenile in possession of a vape pen on the bus last week. This had occurred about 3 p.m. on May 30. An officer issued a citation to the juvenile for possession of tobacco.
A caller Tuesday night at Ginkgo Avenue and First Avenue in Wellman requested a welfare check on a subject weeping by a tree in South Park. Two officers responded. The subject was fine and was going to walk home.
A caller early Wednesday morning at West Washington Street in Washington reported a young female, possibly a child, sitting outside in front of the library. Two officers responded. The subject was an adult, and everything was fine.

A caller Tuesday morning at West Madison Street in Washington reported a gas drive-off of $32.50 involving a maroon Dodge pickup. The caller provided the license plate number. An officer was advised for documentation. The subject was advised, and he was going to take care of it.
All other offenses
A caller Tuesday morning at Highway 218 in Riverside reported that their highway maintenance supervisor requested that law enforcement respond to Highway 218 near Mile Marker 81 for a crew doing work on the highway. They were crossing back and forth with no traffic control and using steel tracks across the highway. An officer responded and located the crew just into Johnson County. The supervisor for that district was on scene and handling the situation. Local state DOT was advised.
A caller Tuesday morning at Highway 1 in Washington reported that her 4-year-old granddaughter was attacking her and throwing things. Two officers responded. Things calmed down upon the officers’ arrival.

A caller Tuesday afternoon at Lexington Boulevard in Washington reported having a problem with her 4-year-old granddaughter. An officer responded. The caller was advised that there was not much law enforcement could do with the situation, and she needed to contact her medical provider.
