MT. PLEASANT — Following an attempt to flee on foot, a Mt. Pleasant man was hit by a stun gun by police and found with methamphetamine and other drug equipment.
Robin Walton, 25, was stopped by Mt. Pleasant police officers on N. Main Street at approximately 2:40 p.m. on Wednesday for active warrants, according to a release from the department. Walton “took off on foot” for several blocks but was stopped after being hit with a stun gun.
Walton was charged with possession of the items and interference with official acts as well as assault for an incident that occurred several days prior.
The Henry County Sheriff’s Office assisted on scene.
