Two more COVID-19 cases identified in Washington County

The statewide total is up to 614 positive cases.

Washington County has identified two more positive cases of COVID-19.

According to the Iowa Department of Public Health, there are now 36 COVID-19 cases in the county.

Washington County has also seen three deaths overall due to COVID-19. The third death was reported recently by Washington County Public Health.

Statewide, cases are up to 614 as of Thursday according to the Iowa Department of Public Health with 66 new cases reported. Two deaths were reported from Linn County with both of the deceased individuals being between the ages of 61 and 80.

There have also been a total of 8,054 negative tests in Iowa to date, which includes testing reported by the State Hygenic Lab and other labs according to IDPH.

A positive case of COVID-19 has been identified in Jefferson County as well. This is the first case the county has officially confirmed. According to IDPH, the individual is an adult between the ages of 18-40 and are self-isolating at home currently.
