WASHINGTON — Following other schools in the county, the Washington Community School District has been approved to provide free lunch and breakfast to students.
As of Tuesday, all students will receive free breakfast and lunch through the summer food service program.
Previously reported, Keota, Highland and Mid-Prairie School Districts are all utilizing the program.
“We are unbelievably excited to be offering this to our community,” said Superintendent Willie Stone.
Participants will be able to run the program until Dec. 31 or until the funds run out.
