Frustrated with those not promoting masks

Editor:

A month ago, Rob Bixler responded to my letter that urged mask-wearing citing a study that showed no benefit of masks. The studies he referred to were misrepresented in Denis Rancout’s article (see refutation by David Kyle Johnson/Psychology Today/2020).

Now that our most prominent adversary of mask-wearing has been hospitalized with COVID-19, I am once again frustrated that those in power, like the governor of our state, still will not encourage mask wearing.

The CDC continues to report that wearing masks, social-distancing and community responsibility will be even more important this fall as people remain inside.

I will continue to wear my mask during daily fall bicycle rides and demonstrate my care for all who live in our community and hope you will do the same
