PELLA — The Iowa Wesleyan women’s basketball traveled to Central College for a nonconference game on Saturday night. The Tigers were upended by a red-hot Lady Dutch team, 101-68.
Central led 29-7 after one quarter and 53-21 at halftime. IW was able to get their offense going in the second half, scoring 50 points in the final two quarters, but the damage had already been done.
Allie Massner made five three-pointers en route to a 22-point outing for IW. Maddie Williamson scored 17 points and pulled down a team-leading seven rebounds, and Morgan McCrea scored 13 points to give the Tigers three players in double digits.
Sydney Farrar had the best shooting night on the team, going 4-6 to end the game with eight points. Harriet Fowler had five points and nine assists. Da’Jaah Swolley scored three points.
IW is now 0-4 on the season. They will travel to Grinnell College tonight (Tuesday) for their next game.
