FAIRFIELD — Fairfield lost a high school football game Friday to the visitors from Clear Creek-Amana 33-7.

Carter Ferrel scored the only touchdown for the Trojans. He had nine yards on 14 rushes and went 12 of 26 passing for 115 yards with five interceptions.

Leone Gichure rushed 13 times for 44 yards for Fairfield.

Landon Kooiker caught five Ferrel passes for 16 yards and Landen Schafer snagged four balls for 55 yards. Gichure, Drew Martin and Max Weaton each caught a pass.

Kooiker led the defense with 8.5 tackles. Martin had two tackles for loss. Martin, Payton Cline and Gichure all had 5.5 tackles each.

Fairfield is 0-2 and plays Oskaloosa at home Friday. Oskaloosa lost to Washington 62-12.
