VB can't stop L&M rushing attack

LETTS — It was a rough night on the Van Buren defense on Friday as they tried to slow down a fierce Louisa-Muscatine rushing attatck. The Falcons ran all over the Warriors, going for eight rushing touchdowns in a 54-0 win.

The duo of Chase Kruse and Hayden Calvelage gave the Warriors all they could handle and more. Kruse ran for 184 yards and three touchdowns, and Calvelage went for 146 yards and three scores of his own.

The Warrior offense could never get the wheels turning. They never found the end zone and turned it over twice.

Van Buren is now 0-2 to start the season. They’ll have a chance to berak that losing streak when they take on another 0-2 team, Davis County, in their home opener this week.
