KEOSAUQUA — Van Buren County had no trouble vanquishing Danville in Southeast Iowa Super Conference South Division play Monday. The Warriors pounded the Bears 25-16, 25-10 and 25-16 to get out with a three-set win.
Chelsea Huff had 14 kills on the night to lead the team. Shea Scott had eight. Isabel Manning dished out 25 assists.
The defense was led by Huff, who finished the night with 10 digs. Scott had nine digs, Kadence Nusbaum finished with seven, and Brooklyn Cormier had six. Ella Jirak finished the night with five digs and two blocks.
The Warriors had a fantastic serving night, going 68-for-73 with 13 aces. Jirak and Manning netted three aces apiece. Nusbaum, Scott and Cormier had two, and Huff finished with one.
VBC has now won four out of its last five games, and is currently sitting at 7-10 overall and 2-3 in conference play. They will host No. 6 (1A) New London on Thursday.
