DANVILLE — The New London volleyball team won an instant classic against rival Danville on Tuesday night. The Tigers escaped with a five-set road win, 19-25, 25-17, 23-25, 25-23, 17-15.
Keaura Williams and Addie Pry led the way for the New London offense. Williams had 17 kills in the win and Pry finished with 16. Sofie Reighard had nine kills, and Alexa Wenger finished with eight.
Aliyah Christensen dished out 44 assists to lead the squad. Kyra Linkin had a team-leading 31 digs.
New London went 108-114 serving the ball. They had three aces, one each from Pry, Linking nad Marah Hartrick.
The Tigers are now 8-2 on the year. They will renew their fierce volleyball rivalry with No. 6 Holy Trinity tonight (Thursday).
