Most participants walked laps inside the Fairfield Middle School during Saturday's Relay for Life, but a select few found more exciting ways to travel. Natalie Brader, left, and her father Charles Brader did cartwheels through the hallway. Natalie did cartwheels for an entire lap and her father did them for half a lap.

Frequent rain last week produced an all-too-common problem for the city of Fairfield ? wastewater overflows.Approximately 420,000 gallons of untreated wastewater was discharged from the sanitary sewer Friday and Saturday. Isabella Buckley plays with dinosaurs during Mothers? Day Out Preschool this morning at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Classes at the church resumed this week after a fire caused by lightning forced the church to close for a few days last week. A cleaning company cleaned the preschool wing of the church top to bottom. Ozone machines were used to clean the air in the building.
